A fairly eclectic mix this, of figures representing three very different periods of time
First up, in chronological order, are a couple of crusader figures from the K&C range. These figures are particularly 'big and chunky' and as such work very well alongside the First Legion crusaders, which are also bigger than many of their other sets of figures
Next up, the final nine SYW Prussian Grenadiers I need to complete my JJD Leuthen display. I've chosen to include them here because photographing them solely as part of the diorama means you don't get to see what they look like from the front!
And finally, a single addition to my Berlin '38 LAH collection in the form of this officer standing easy

Plain and simple, a much awaited re-working of a classic little vehicle from the Texans at TCS! I've got one of the original ones already and could well be in the market for another

Well, that's all the new stuff right there, and apart from that there's just one retirement I'm interested in this month, and it's this LAH officer standing easy whilst watching the parade go by
It's been quite a while since I last posted about new additions to my own collection and so it is, that like buses, you wait for an age and all of a sudden three come along all at once!
I don't know how that translates for those of you who might be reading this outside of the UK, or who have no experience of the English public transport system, but never mind
The first of the three installments concerns a single solitary figure added to my Berlin 38 Nuremberg party rally display. I can't recall how long ago this figure was retired but it was quite a few months ago now, and I bought her straight away. Since then she's been waiting quietly in the wings waiting to take her place along side the other notable 'glitterati'

On the right side of the display you can just about make out the left hand side of Hess, who is flanked to his left by Martin Bormann, personal secretary to Hess from 1933 to 1941, and personal secretary to the Fuhrer from 1943
'Out front' is currently bare, but for the rubberized flag stone matting supplied by John Gittins, but the plan is to have a march past of SA and early SS figures, and a few figures standing on guard duty around the base of the podium
More great armour from TCS, this time in the shape of a Whirlwind AA vehicle. As is the norm with TCS this rather attractive looking piece comes in a choice of winter and summer camo patterns and is packaged with three crew members and a thrown track option. Follow the link for more details
Well, hello anyone out there and welcome to August. This is a bit of a lazy month for me. I'm on holiday and have not long got back from spending a few days enjoying the hills and rolling countryside of mid-Wales
I thought I'd better get around to writing some posts so here goes. I decided to kick off with some news about a few updates, firstly to the blog page. I've put a couple of links in the sidebar section to YouTube channels I currently subscribe to, one music related and the other a link to a close friend's comedy channel
I now have a Facebook 'persona' and have included a link to my FB page. At the bottom of the blog page you will find an image link to the site where I got hold of the animated Facebook logo from that you will find in my link [I hope they appreciate the plug ;-)]
I've spent a bit of time updating my Amazon Store, adding a few more category pages and selecting a few more items for some of the pages I already created so why not take a look and see if you can spot anything there you like the look of
Finally, I've also 'updated' my collection a little since I posted last by moving the three mounted figures that appeared in my latest additions post to a different diorama. Take a look at the photos
